MARINER GMDSS NAUTICAL STUDY - FOR EXAM AND FOR PRACTICAL LIFE AT SHIP.

*when sir will tell to switch on all equipment then some equipment specially(SAT-C) may go in sleep mood,so just press SPACE button,then will again standby.

*try not to switch on FBB,keep some knowledge about FBB,how to call and how to send Distress. (Sir may ask.)

*REMEMBER, at first open only that equipment which u know much better.(specially NAVTEX).

Navtex:

(Sir first may see ur NAVTEX, so answer be like that so u can make satisfied sir.

>>U are going from Singapore to Hongkong,so prepare all equipment and also navtex.

1.select navtex station from ALRS VOL 5(navtex-area chart(X0)-select which area(x1/x2/x3/x4..)

2.then types of message(A,B,D,L must) also other some,from navtex first/2nd page will get.

(remeber u have to know the meaning of all types of message name which u select)

Navtex station radius, time sharing each station(10 min in every 4 hour), navtex which mode use(FEC MODE), outside navtex area how will get MSI(EGC-safety net, HF TELEX NBDP(4209.5khz),

If your ALRS VOL 5 not in ship from where will get information of MSI,from where will get (ALRS VOL 3)

Primary equipment to get MSI(NAVTEX)

In your route ur ship not in NAVTEX coverage station,so how will get MSI (via safetynet)

Remember any vital message only, can send by any station after finish their 10 min time.

Navtex frequency (518,490,4209.5khz).

REMEMBER, In ALRS VOL 5 at navtex index in chart [ ], like these symbol gave,indicate international station and also local station,when select station be careful.!!!

FLEET 77:

Call to your home or agent via FLEET 77.

* Ship to shore MOBILE CALL (008801234567890)

(as like mobile call 00+country code+mobile no+#)

* ship to shore TELEPHONE CALL(008802123456)

(Country code+area code+telephone no+#.)

FROM ALRES VOL 1(1)-305 page will get telephone and telex code.

* Ship to ship call/call ur sister vessel via FLEET 77

[00 + 870(snac-single network access code,{ALRS VOL 5-SATELLITE(first page) + FLEET 77 NO. + # ]

Give a distress call via FLEET 77.

*Press 5s distress button

*if stop blip then select LES(if LES not select default will collect LES)

(REMEMBER WHEN CALL BY FLEET 77 ALWAYS KEEP TELEPHONE{🚿} IN EAR)

(sir will ask who will get CALL-MRCC)

How will send email by FLEET 77.

*ship to shore(normal system, e.g. naimulhasib21@gmail.com😂)

*ship to ship (ship FLEET 77 email id)

[create mail + give email(TO) + then email save in OUTBOX + click (SEND-RECEIVE) button(in upper side) + after server online then message will be sent.

TELEX (NBDP)

Send a distress message via RADIO TELEX.

(message must be sent in FEC MODE(F8 menu-mode-1.ARQ, 2.FEC 3.SFEC)

*first write distress message and save.(file-new telex- write- again (click file) - click in save. Or can write also after connect in FEC MODE.

* in MF/HF select mode telex, FREQUENCY SET (rx-2174.5khz,, tx-2174.5khz)

* click ALT-D (to enter distress mode) or from (F8 MENU)

* then F4 (for scan frequency),, select frequency 2174.5khz + click + now click F2(t/x frequency..**don't give any freq then there,,click again may be(F2/enter)+ then will give indicate (modem is calling) + wait untill shown

(transmission is allowed) + then write or paste saved message...

ARQ (two way communication- two frequency,,SELECTED TWO STATION),, FEC (one way communication,,ONE STATION TO ALL STATION),,, SFEC (one station to another selected station only one way)ই

Give ETA and ARRIVAL time to ur agent..

---*from ALRS VOL 1(select ROMA or LISBO radio)

[N.B. must keep in ARQ MODE ]

*click F3 TX
* enter CALL CODE (shore station call code-written in book)

* enter RX FREQUENCY & TX FREQUENCY

(written in book shore station rx/tx)

* then click F2 TRANSMIT(then modem start call,and make connection with CRS)

like these display will come after connect

* then CRS may ask for who is AAIC(accounting authority..), then give ur AAIC NO.+

(+ these symbol have to give after give no. Or msg)

* you may write HELP+ to know the CRS service.

* then connect with agent by:

DIRTLX+ TELEX COUNTRY CODE + AGENT TLX NO. + THEN SYMBOL “+”

* AFTER connect with agent or shore subscriber send ur msg.

* for break with subscriber write

KKKK or 2222+

* FOR BREAK WITH CRS. BRK+

CONTACT WITH YOUR SISTER VSL VIA RADIO TLX

Go to ARQ MODE
CLICK F2
for that has to know that ship RX TX.

VHF:

Give call to ur home

Easy method link call.
Go to DSC- COAST STATION - CS MMSI- THEN GIVE CALL TO COAST STATION

E.G.singapore radio *3

This is mv tiger lily *3

I have phone call to make in these no……

Give call to home by PSTN(PUBLIC SWITCH TELEPHONE NETWORK)

Go to pstn option
Give coast station MMSI NO.
then enter home mobile no.

E.G. 008801234567890

Why use 1w in vhf in which ch. (15,17)
What will u check before switch on VHF (check all switch, vol & squeal have to kept zero before on vhf, check antenna)
Simplex & duplex channel(20-28 duplex-2 frequency in one ch,also have some ch in ch 60-88)
VHF antenna name (vhf dipole antenna)

IMMARSAT-C:

Remember if u mistake any single question,will no 2nd chance to pass.

Sat-C only for telex…..
